Board of Directors
The Board of Directors of the company is made up of the two founders; Niall Behan and Donal Devery, joined by Tony Keaveney, Charlie Mulligan, Eric Reed, Conor McNamara and most recently Bernard Collins.
Bernard Collins
Mr. Collins joined the Board as Chairman in 2009. Mr. Collins is a seasoned Businessman with 30 years international General Management and Multifunction experience whose career spans start-ups, rationalisations and turnarounds, LBOS and IPOs and disposals in both large and small businesses. Strengths include strategy formulation, organisation development and change management, with particular experience in the Medical Devices / Health Care sectors.
Charlie Mulligan joined the Board in 2006. Mr. Mulligan has extensive experience in business management and has served on the board of directors of a number of successful ventures. Mr. Mulligan is a former Managing Director of Digital Equipment's European Operations and served on the Board of the State-owned Telecom Eireann prior to its flotation. He was also a shareholder and Director/Chairman of a number of indigenous companies including Accuris Ltd (Telecoms software R&D), Plasmedics/Nelipak (Medical Packaging), Cerus/Aerogen (Medical Devices) and Merrillbrink International (Localisation services). He has also provided Management advisory services to major multinational companies such as Boston Scientific and Medtronic.
Eric Reed joined following the seed finance round in October 2006 and represents Enterprise Equity Venture Capital Group on the board. He was a senior manager with Coopers & Lybrand, Chartered Accountants, in both England and Ireland for a number of years. He joined Digital Equipment Intl in Galway in 1984 and was Financial Controller of its hardware manufacturing plant until 1994. He was a founding director of two successful start-up companies in 1994 and worked with those companies as director until joining Enterprise Equity.
Conor Mc Namara joined in August 2007 and represents the Western Development Commission on the board. Conor McNamara is an Investment Executive with the WDC Investment Fund which operates as a Venture Capital Fund in the Western Region of Ireland. Conor is a business graduate from the University of Limerick and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountant in Ireland. He has spent the past 15 years in various senior financial positions, primarily with Mazars (Dublin), ING Furman Selz and in Life Sciences with Boston Scientific Corporation in its Galway, Ireland facility. He has also worked with a number of Indigenous Irish start-ups primarily in the software development sector.
